About the College

Engineering Rocks!

A crane crew manhandles giant 20-ton rocks onto a truck bed before hauling them off campus. The crew then replaced them with new giant rocks so that mining engineering students have something to practice drilling on.

Young Alumni Board

The Young Alumni Board provides value to the College of Engineering in achieving its strategic plan/vision by providing input and advice in the following areas:

Perspectives, knowledge and experiences as a student and as a new engineer in the workplace.
Engaging young alumni in the life of the College of Engineering.
Supporting the goal to engage more students and young alumni (typically within 15 years of graduation) as well as increase opportunities for young alumni participation.
Creating in young alumni a strong interest and commitment to the College of Engineering and developing a network of mutually beneficial relationships among alumni, students and faculty.
Developing a loyalty to the College of Engineering so alumni will want to invest in the College of Engineering with volunteer and financial support
